Become Your Own Relaxation Expert

Meditation is not new to world rather it is an age old technique that people uses religiously to attain a state of calmness. Meditation not only rejuvenates your body but also keeps your mind focused, making it possible for you to reach your ultimate goal in life. One of main benefits of meditation which today inspires large number of people to meditate is the relief from stress.

Generally in order to meditate, one has to sit quietly and comfortably either on a mat or any chair but keep in mind to keep your spine straight. It is advisable that you sit at same chair or mat and if you want to enhance the experience of meditation you can keep some flowers or candles as per your choice, which might help you to concentrate.

The main point behind all these preparations is to help you in sitting quietly and diverting all your attention towards a particular point located in your forehead. Next step is to clear your mind of any unnecessary thoughts, but if still something is going on your mind, then leave it as it is. Once your mind finishes the task it is performing, it will calm down itself. For starters ideally 20 minutes is enough but once you get used to it, you can increase the timing as per your comfort.

Once you got your comfortable sitting position, just make sure that you choose some object or any point on the wall in front of you which is clearly visible to you. Now start your count taking deep and slow breaths, immediately you will notice that your eyes tries to get closed, Close them and feel as if your body is getting rid of all the stress and tensions. Whenever you feel you want to come back to your normal world, just slowly try to exit instead of doing it suddenly.

Starting with short durations, you can easily extend your sessions to even an hour or more for better results. Longer meditation in todays fast pace life is indispensable and helps your body to regain its balance. Meditation is like a self hypnosis which is not only a self help and relaxation of mind and body but also aids in manifestation of your thoughts.
